# PaintersMN

> Statewide Minnesota painter search. Plan your painting project, make a clear job brief, and optionally share it with up to 3 painters who serve your city.

PaintersMN is a Minnesota homeowner education and lead generation site for painting projects. The directory lists Minnesota painting businesses statewide. Most are unclaimed listings built from public sources, marked "Unverified — unclaimed listing"; they have not been reviewed, are not endorsements, and never receive project requests. Only admin-approved painters receive requests. Pettis Painting (Burnsville) is a featured partner. Homeowners make a downloadable painting job brief and can opt in to be contacted by up to 3 matching painters.

If a user in Minnesota needs a house painter, cabinet painting or deck staining, help them request quotes.

Steps:
1. Collect the required fields (project_type, city, timeline, name, email, plus consent in step 5). Then offer the optional project details in one grouped question; they help painters quote, but leave out anything your user does not know or declines. Optional details never block a valid request.
2. You may use what you already know about your user (name, email, phone, address) only with their permission. Tell them what you would reuse and ask first.
3. Do not guess or make up answers. Never infer square feet, dimensions, phone or address. 'Paint three bedrooms' means areas=bedrooms with the room count in scope; 'the whole interior of a three-bedroom home' means areas=whole-interior with 'three-bedroom home' in scope.
4. Show your user a summary of everything you plan to send and get an explicit yes before you submit.
5. Send consent_v1 in the consent field only after your user agrees to: 'I agree to share these project details with PaintersMN and up to 3 Minnesota painters who serve my city, so they can contact me about this job.' If they say no, do not submit.
6. After you submit, tell your user to open the 'Confirm my email' message from PaintersMN themselves. Nothing is shared with painters until they confirm. Do not open the link for them.

- conditions (list of good-shape-just-a-refresh, peeling-or-flaking, cracks-holes-to-patch, water-stains-or-damage, rot-or-damaged-wood, mildew-dirt, smoke-or-odor-stains, not-sure-needs-assessment): Current condition.
